Kungsoft NTFS to FAT32 Wizard is an application that converts NTFS partitions into FAT32 ones and vice versa.
It has a very simple and pleasant interface that eases your work very much. The main window displays two converting modules: NTFS to FAT32 and FAT32 to NTFS. Once you select one of them, the program automatically scans for disks. Afterwards, it gives you information about the specific volume, the file system, the total size, and the free space. After selecting the volume you want to convert, you just use the 'Convert' option. The tool converts the file even if it is compressed or encrypted. In the lower area, you can see some notes that recommend you to check the volume using the 'chkdsk' command before starting the conversion. It also warns you that the volume can’t be accessed while the converting process is in progress.
Before converting from NTFS to FAT32, you need to be sure that the files stored on the disk are smaller than 4GB, because FAT32 doesn’t support them. The tool supports disk storage devices like IDE, SATA, SCSI, USB disk or FireWire disk. Due to the unregistered version, you can only convert an NTFS partition that has less than 8GB used space.
All in all, this is a simple and efficient application. However, similar functions are provided by Windows too. It is true that the converting process takes longer with Windows, but it is free.
